The NFL professional football team Washington Redskins are based out of Washington, DC. They play their games in Landover, Maryland at FedExField. The team's training facility and headquarters are in Ashburn, Virginia at Redskin Park. Since 1932 the team has played in more than one thousand games. The Redskins have won five AFC championships which includes three Super Bowl titles and two NFL Championships. The team has won their NFL division ten times and NFL conference championship six times.

The Redskins have made twenty two appearances in the postseason. Their postseason record overall is 23-17. Only four NFL teams have more Super Bowl appearances than the Washington Redskins. The New England Patriots and Denver Broncos have appeared six times, the Pittsburgh Steelers have seven appearances and the Dallas Cowboys have played in the Super Bowl eight times. The five appearances by the Washington Redskins tie them with the Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers.
